A Love Story Come to Life: Tejil and Bavinash’s Wedding in Johannesburg
Tejil and Bavinash’s wedding was not only a celebration of love, family, and tradition but the ideal love story for 2023!
As her first cousin, it was exciting to see her dreams come to life, and I was overjoyed to help her bring it all together- making it all the more special.
Paheli Weddings and Events created an unforgettable day that was both luxurious and sentimental, with every detail thoughtfully planned and executed.
The Venue
The rooms and suites at Inimitable Venue were luxurious and comfortable, providing the perfect space for the bridal parties to get pampered, glammed up and ready while getting to spend time with their squads.
The rolling lawns, beautiful river and glass marquees from Downings Marquees under the stars made our wedding beautiful and special.
With its Glass Marquee for the ceremony and the Riverview Reception Hall for reception, still offering 12 gorgeous suites, a bridal suite, grooms suite and a stunning honeymoon suite alongside the river, Inimitable offers luxury at its finest.
Bridal Styling
The phenomenal hair and makeup team worked their magic on an already stunning bridal party.
Each bridesmaids’ look was carefully curated to highlight their unique beauty and individuality.
For the bride, a classic low bun elegantly styled by Fatima, with every strand perfectly in place, complemented by a dramatic headpiece to complete the look.
Makeup artist, Raeel Amod, created a breathtaking bold eye and ombre lip, adding a touch of glamor to a timeless beauty.
The bride’s chosen henna designs consisted of intricate and delicate lotus and floral patterns that were beautifully crafted by Seema.
Statement Aisle and Stationery Detail
The bespoke stationery design team at ISHQ Event Art- created an aisle for the ceremony area which was a visual representation of the couple’s love and commitment. On the aisle detail, we had the seven Hindu vows printed along side each other.
The entire theme tied back to the stunning invitation to keep the same through from invite to favours in a Perspex personalised coaster.
Other items of the complete stationery suite comprised of Menu cards, ceremony programes, confetti cones and seating plans all designed to detail.
The Ceremony
Kiritbhai beautifully led the traditional Gujarati ceremony with a deep appreciation and understanding of its rich traditions, creating a beautiful scene of customs and culture.
Adding to the ambiance were carefully selected music pieces to tie into the ceremony and surroundings. Perfectly executed by the team at Bass Mechanics.
The Reception
As the priest concluded the traditional ceremony, we had a string Quartet- Gracenote Musicians serenade us with Classic Bollywood love songs.
As guests made their way to cocktail and canape’s- they were welcomed by the vibrant ladies of The Muses on their electric strings picking up the vibe allowing for guests to relax and enjoy the atmosphere.
The décor was absolutely stunning, with exquisite florals, candles, and lighting that created a truly romantic atmosphere. Every detail was perfectly executed, from the hanging floral chandeliers overhead to the fairy lights that filled the space with a warm and luxurious ambiance.
Guests were mesmerized to say the least- all adding to the overall beauty and drama of the day.
The Cuisine
The menu, created by Chef Andrew and his team, was exceptional, with dishes that were both delicious and beautifully presented.
Tejil and Bavinash knew they wanted a fine dinning- five star experience for their guests whilst keeping to their rich culinary heritage.
Guests were treated to a range of options, including the standout amuse bouche of Vegan Soy Prawns with Curry Leaf Pesto Dip and the unique and tasty Eastern Inspired Rotolo for the entrée.
The main course options were equally impressive, with a Mauritian style Vegetable Breyani, or a Tali Plate with a variety of vegetarian curries.
The plated Soji with a Condensed Milk Ice Cream, on a Mango and Honey Lassi base, was the ultimate perfect dessert.
For a Grand Finale- Tejil and Bavinash had a showstopper dessert display instead of cake cutting where an elaborate show of ice over a vanilla and macaron tower left guests in awe.
TejilBavi, 2023 A Love Story...
